Fun with the Family during a fantastic FallšŸšŸ„šŸŒ™

Visiting a few friends, and mostly family in New England, Stacey & I made a pilgrimage to my folks’ cabin on Squam Lake in NH. The Fall color explosion was in full force, and since it had been many years since we experienced the phenomenon, we filled our eyes and phones with potential blog photos šŸ˜‹.

Fall is the best season in the northeast: with cooler temps, no mosquitoes, and no school kids running amok. The lake was lovely and quiet, the trailheads full of leaf peepers, and with my folks as tour guides to the lesser known spots, we took every advantage to find nature at its fullest!

We did get in a small town country fair, many walks and even some paddles, between our games, meals, and good beers… great to see family and friends if even for a short bit! Sadly, it will be awhile before we return to the Atlantic Northeast, but adventures are in our future and my folks are going to meet up with us in a week down in Asheville, NC to visit my niece and travel a bit longer along the coast!! Now onto the Annapolis boat show āš“ļøā›µļøāš“ļø

Love & Miss my family already 😘

Asheville is pretty awesome. Make sure you find your way to the brewery district and the art district. Our favorite brewery was the Funkatorium.

Oh, and there is another brewery that you have to stop by. It’s on a river, Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery about 40 minutes away. Good hiking and outdoorsy stuff in the area to do as well.
