The Safari of a lifetime
The Safari idea arose when we looked into arriving in Cape Town a little earlier than our boat mates. At first it was just going to be something for a few days outside of town to see some sites, maybe take a drive on the Garden Route or over to Aldo Elephant Park. The wife thought the idea of renting a car and driving around the country side by ourselves sounded like a kidnapping waiting to happen! She suggested maybe a guided trip instead, and that eventually led us to our friend Hilary who is the Queen of the AfricIan SafarI. She hooked us up with a trip that she would take herself the next time she visited Kruger. That was the evolution of the side adventure, and so I sold my car to pay for itđ!
We have been here in camp for three days already and getting into the rhythm slowly while fighting jet lag still. The wildlife has been better then one could ever hope for đđŚđđđŚđŚđŚđ!
First 10 minutes of our first game drive!
A Journey of giraffe (or a tower - if they are standing stillâŚ)
I took this with my phone, but used the binoculars as a telephoto lensâŚ
This one was friendly, not so for all the elephants đł
The male ostrich are black & white, but the gray females rule the roost !
a big crocodile
sadly all my other photos are on the good camera, but I canât download them because we left the computer in Cape Town with all the rest of our luggageâŚ
enjoy,
thanks for hanging in there!
now that we are out of the Park we have Wi-Fi enough to get out some postsâŚ
