Mardi Gras parades in Uptown are a blast! A weird connection we had - many of the “Krewe‘s” or “Knight’s” floats were built on Greek themes, with us having just returned from Greece two weeks ago visiting the real thing😜
Tori was on the Muses float on Thursday night, and we got a sneak preview Wednesday at the warehouse (when we “helped” carry in her schwag). I will say for the Muses Krewe & fans - it’s all about the shoes! Tori made 30 shoes to pass out at the parade, and all are hand decorated!
These are sacred items for the parade watchers, and arguments, persuasions, and fights, can take place over who the intended “catcher” should be. Other float groups pass out such items as: sunglasses, purses, and toilet bowl plungers… all hand painted in glitter and decorative silliness.
The parades were amazing, and we stayed away from Bourbon St. No one flashed anyone any boobs, and the cleanup crew went thru ever night and swept St Charles street clear. My first Mardi Gras was an unforgettable event!
