San Antonio Texas

Feb. 28 - March 2, 2022

Stacey is now Retired !!!

Somehow San Antonio, within the flood-prone state of Texas, created a riverwalk that’s just like an adult Disneyland! The waterway they dug is hard to see driving around on the roadways, because the river walk is at least 25ft below street level. Restaurants, parks, shops, and boat tours, all in a glorious man-made marvel, that feels canyon-like (but in a CITY and just in front of the ALAMO). Maybe the Alamo really has a basement after all? In the 1700’s the area saw a lot of Missions built nearby, and Spain (Mexico), did send Santa Ana to the Alamo to fight to get it back in the 1830’s. Not sure why, since Texas is half swamp and half desert!? Talk about a place to loose the Cali license plates and start speaking Spanish. Bring a bike & ride the river trails if you come, and make sure you‘re good with only BBQ or TexMex for eats 😜
